Ingredients
Scale
Fruits
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- ½ cup fresh blueberries
- ½ cup fresh raspberries
Chocolate Coating
- 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Toppings (Optional)
- Sea salt
- Crushed nuts
Instructions
- Prepare baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easy.
- Rinse and dry berries: Thoroughly rinse the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. Dry them well to ensure the chocolate adheres properly.
- Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Dip berries in chocolate: Dip each individual berry or small cluster of berries into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off back into the bowl.
- Place on baking sheet: Set the chocolate-coated berries on the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Add toppings: Sprinkle sea salt or crushed nuts on top of the chocolate-coated berries if desired for extra flavor and texture.
- Chill to set: Refrigerate the baking sheet for 15–20 minutes or until the chocolate is fully set and firm.
- Serve and store: Serve the chocolate berry bites chilled. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Notes
- Use mini cupcake liners to serve the bites cleanly and portioned.
- For variety, try using white or milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate.
- You can drizzle a contrasting type of melted chocolate over the top before chilling for a decorative touch.
